Scan an item
Point the camera at the barcode on the packet or at the sticker the scale prints for loose produce. Weighed items are priced from the weight in the barcode; packets are counted.
Start it, or scan a photo of the label.
Type a code
Barcode number, or the 4-5 digit PLU for loose produce.

Trolley
Tap the stepper to change a count, edit a weight, or type the price straight off the label if it disagrees.
Total
Check against the till
After paying, type the total the till charged. The exported JSON then carries the difference, line by line, so a mismatch can be traced.
Known products
Every code you name once is recognised and priced automatically the next time you scan it.

Trips
This shopping trip
Shelf prices in Sri Lankan supermarkets normally include VAT, so leave tax at 0 unless your receipt adds it separately.
Scanning
Shops encode weighed items differently. The default matches the Keells-style labels shown in the sample photos (92|3010|1|01218|8 = item 923010, 1.218 kg). Paste a label barcode below to check.
Backend sync (optional)
Leave blank to stay fully offline. With the SL Market API running, the catalog and finished trips are saved to it.
Label formats learned
Set the store name before you start. At a supermarket the app has not seen, confirm the first weighed item by hand and its label format is worked out from the code and the weight you typed - every later label there decodes on its own.
Scan log
Every scan is recorded - the raw code, how it decoded, which layout won, and whether it made it into the cart. Rejected scans are kept too; they are the ones worth reading after a test run. The log travels inside the exported JSON.
